Commissioned Work - Art Created Just for You

Some images don't exist until you invite them into being. A commissioned painting is your opportunity to have an original artwork created just for you – inspired by your colors, emotions, surroundings, or stories. This is a collaboration between us, where we shape something together that belongs not only in your space, but in your heart.
How it works
We begin with a conversation – by email, phone, or video – where we explore your ideas: subject, palette, mood, and size. I'll gladly guide you if you're unsure, and help you choose a format or expression that suits the space your painting is meant to inhabit.
Once we've agreed on the scope, I'll reserve a place in my calendar, and you'll receive an estimated month for completion. A deposit of 30–50% is required before I begin the work.
During the process
You'll be kept involved throughout the process. I send you updates and photos as the piece develops, so you can share your thoughts – if you'd like to. Some clients prefer close dialogue, others wish to be surprised by the finished result. Both are welcome.
When the painting nears completion, there is always room for adjustments. A commissioned work isn't finished until you feel that it's right. My goal is always for you to fall completely in love with it.
Framing
If you wish to have the painting framed, we'll discuss options when the piece is ready. I offer various frame styles and can send examples to help find the perfect fit – both for the artwork and your home.
Shipping & Delivery
Once the painting is complete and the remaining balance is paid, it will be carefully packaged and shipped using trusted carriers.
– Within Norway, I use Posten, Bring, Helthjem or PostNord – all with tracking.
– For international shipping, I work with specialized fine art logistics providers such as MTAB Fine Art Logistics and Bring Art Solutions, who are experienced in handling valuable artworks.
Each piece is professionally packaged – in custom materials or art crates – depending on size and destination.
Returns & Right of Withdrawal
Because commissioned paintings are created specifically for you, they are exempt from return or withdrawal rights.
However, I take great pride in creating work you truly connect with, and there is always room for dialogue and adjustments throughout the process.
If you're considering a commission or have an idea you'd like to explore, I'd love to hear from you. I accept a limited number of commissions each year and look forward to creating something meaningful with you.
FAQ
Timeline and Completion
A commissioned painting typically takes 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Once we've agreed on the size, theme, and specific details of the artwork, I'll provide a more accurate estimate based on the scope of the piece.
From there, we can set a clear date or month for completion, so you'll know exactly when your painting will be ready for delivery.
